Different CSS for index and other pages?
« on: April 25, 2008, 01:15:17 PM »
Let me just say what a fab CMS WebsiteBaker is!! Easy to install, configure and  work with!!!!

I was trying to find a solution for a website I'm trying to set up - the issue is:

the "index" page has a different layout than all other pages - The index page has a side menu that points to all other pages whereas all the other pages don't. Instead the area where the menu was, is taken over by the posted item (in this case a flash file) and there is a "back to main" link to take you to the "index" page again.

is there a way to make this happen in WB? If this has been answered before, apologies!

Hello,

not pretty sure if I got you right. If you want a kind of intro page (starting page completely different than the rest), have a look to the intro page feature (search help website for that key word). WebsiteBaker do allow to assign each page to a seperate template. Maybe one of the two options will do the trick.

@SophID

If I understand you correctly, you want your home page to have a different layout that all of the child pages...is that correct? If so, you could simply have the main page use a different template (in the page settings) or you could modify your template so it uses two columns if page_id=1 otherwise it uses the full width of the content area.
