Blank results question

What is the most common issue when a template is chosen in the settings but does not show any content (blank page) when viewed?

The template is a custom template using CSS.  The php template directory code is in the CSS line within the head tags.  I have used multiple blocks and the setting for this is enabled.  The content shows up in any other template.   I have translated and built other templates, but think I am missing something obvious here....

Any thoughts?  Just looking for brainstorming from fellow template makers. No idea will be laughed at!   :-D

Maybe some more information such as posting your template code and your URL would be useful for us to try to help.
