Hi (a dissapointed Joomla user here)
« on: September 02, 2007, 08:52:33 PM »
Ive been playing around CMS'ses since the death of a good friend of mine who i prommissed to help her community live!

She used Mambo and suggested that i should go over to Joomla and SMF forum engines.
Well most of u know by now that the Joomla/SMF is a dead end and it made me wonder if there are more CMS engines around and guess what ive found WB, been playing with it for like 10 mins and i am feeling home already, what a waste of time Joomla was for smaller webby's!!
(btw is there a way to intergrate the SMFusers into WB without an GPL "issue"?)

unfortunately not. there has been WB-SMF a bridge-module in the past, which was working quite dencently; unfortunatly, due to the GPLviolation mentioned in your post, it's not longer allowed to spread this module :(

Mmm, is it finally safe then? kidding.

No ill stick to SMF for now, gonna use it wrapped without user synch. (now to figure out how to make the wrapper automaticly take over the forum hight...)

Welcome!  A lot of us looked at Joomla etc and said BAH before finding WB!

There's also another module done already, I think it's PUNBB.
Can't remember how integrated it is though.
