true, even though the two languages have the same roots. its not to hard to understand dutch, dont know how it is the other way round.

The same Easy to understand. Fairly easy to speak as well, if grammatical errors are not counted All those cases are rather difficult for us: when to use der, dem, den... pfff. But all Dutch children get 1 to 3 years of German language education in high school, so most of us can manage
