Hmmm... When I look at the sites in the showcase, I notice that most do not have the "Powered by WB" notice in the footer.  So do I need to include that notice in my site or not?

Sorry if that's a dumb question. I am just wondering.

Thanks,
Art

Hello,

you do not need to show it at the frontend even it is highly appreciated.
However, you need to show the attribution it in the backend (yourdomain.xxx/admin).

Good call - reading this last night I realized I hadn't included footers on my WB sites - so I added them - complete with 'powered by WB CMS' :)

Now that you brought up the question I hate to stat another thread but may need to -

I wonder about customizing the backend...  Reason I ask is I design websites for a number of clients and plan to start using WB for a lot of them. I know its 'possible' to modify the backend to add linking and branding - but is it... 'kosher'?

@AzAkers:
You can modify what ever you want as long as you:
a) don“t touch the copyright notices in the WB PHP files
b) keep the link in the WB Admin which tells that WB is licensed under GNU GPL

Again, it is highly apprecitated to show a link in the footer of the fronted with a powered by WebsiteBaker (http://WebsiteBaker.org) link, but this is not required, just fair.

doc,

on this note.. i would really like to request that these GPL / Branding requirements minimized to the inside of the admin section not the admin login.
