First time with WB; 3rd HP
« on: February 18, 2007, 10:42:05 AM »
Hey,

I think some of you know the game Grandprix2, my site is about.

I started in early 2005 with a HP for my project "HFGP2" (now "HF cars and sets") on a american server with a MS Word '97 HP. It was such a crap I can say, but I was happy to have any HP online. :-D This was my first version of my site.

Than I took a Evresoft built software for my second version. I don't know it's correct name. It was much nicer than the Word HP but not the nicest one.

Last year I chose a new studygroup in school, "Hompage AG". There I got to know with WB. (The site iswww.gymnasium-walsrode.de)

Because working with WB was so easy I wanted to use it for my own site. But my hoster didn't want me to work with MySQL. I changed my hoster. I moved my site to Funpic.de and started with WB 2.6.4. Therefore I renamed my project to "HF cars and sets".

Now I think my site is really nice and I can't imagine how it would like without WB.

So, thank you WB community! :-)

nice bake Henning ...

Only things I would try to do:

Get rid of the bullets in fron of the menu or give it a left margin. at the moment, in my opinion it is to far left (with the bullets)

Make the login box wider and make it look like the box for the counter or vice versa.

Change the word "content" on top of the content area for either page name or breadcrumbs.

But all in all, like said, a nice bake!

cheers

1) Hey, thank you for your tip with the margin. I had so much trouble with this bullets, but now I think it's solved.

2) I made it. I don't know when but I tryed it some time ago too but it didn't work. Now after 2 hours work it's done, too.

3) That was a new thing to me but after thinking about it I changed it.

Thank you for your  legitimate critic. Everytime it's ok to criticize me.

@Henning:
Wouldn´t treat posts like the one from kweitzel as criticism, more as a recommendation or an advice  which helps you to improve your skills :-) Keep on the good work.
