my first work with WB.

its a very clean typographic layout based on the all css template shipped with the installation.
 theres not too much to see, but who am i to argue with my clients

im totally crazed about how simple it is to create new templates.
WB is a very cool piece os software, good work!

The only restrictions WebsiteBaker has besides those in the license is the need to retain the copyright notice in WebsiteBaker Administration, which read's "WebsiteBaker is released under the GNU General Public License".

even though i understand your reasons:
this is a work for a client of mine. theres no reason for him to have a visible link to WB on his page and for sure he wont be happy, if do this.

and unhappy customers are bad for business.

but in my protfolio i will mention (and link) WB in connection with this site.
...if it ever get it online

Great work Jakob! I can understand your reasons for removing the link - I do the same for all well-paying clients (free/discounted clients do not get this advantage). It is always nice to let your clients know what they are using, though. I guess if they are accessing the admin section then they will soon figure it out.

Yes, hopefully! I have had to quit my job reffing basketball so that I will eventually find time for WB (after homework). Now, it seems that I have no money! Please donate if you are making a profit, so I don't have to spend my time making it elsewhere. I really want to spend more time on WB, especially 3.x, but can't if no more funding is coming through! I would like to thank all those who have donated either time or money to me - Thanks!

@stefan: as soon as my client pays me ill not only feel the urge but donate a small part of my pay.

this is the first really designer (aka technical inapt person)  friendly  cms i found.
its perfect for small (portfolio etc) sites and the backend is so well designed, even my clients can understand it.
oh, ill be singing the highsong of WebsiteBaker all day long

but seriosly, i think your right stefan: if your making money with WB its only fair to give some part of it back to the developer.

One thing you can do for WebsiteBaker right away which doesn't cost any money is to post a comment on opensourcecms.org about your favorite CMS.

I am a webdesigner/developer. I only installed it tonite, and have to go through the templates and docs yet. In the learning process. I am changing from Movable Type. So far I am very impressed with it. After trying over twenty (a lot more) in the past year, it is great so far.

I especially like the writing static files to the server. Getting a great URL file structure seems very possible ie:
/website.com/categoryname/file-name

As a developer, I strongly agree to supporting the developer with a percentage of client sites, and will be happy to do so. Seems only fair and right to me.

I am desperately looking for such a tool. LucidCMS is too difficult to edit...

And the Terms of Use for XDBCMS are very restrictive for cases you guys discussed above:

But still it seems to be a great tool for cases where you can't deploy a PHP/MySQL-solution on the remote server.

I am developping offical sites for educational institutions and other offical authorities. They sometimes don't want to see a "built with" notice on their site.
A "workaroud in this case could be
1) put the logo and the copyright notice on the disclamer/imprint page which all (offical) websites ought to have by law
2) Make a "sites-using" page on the officalt WebsiteBaker homepage where Webmaster could register their sites. Then you'd have enough references...

I think he meant the feature that for every page an access file
wb/pages/somepage.php
gets created which gives friendly URLs automatically.
There is no option regarding this as it is the default behavior.

Ah, I did recognize that and liked it very much. A good tool for as said portfolio pages.  

But what do you think about an option to generate static files?  

Like:
1) define a direcrory $DOCUMENTROOT/wbfiles/myhomepage/
2) set up your whole page with all content and templates...
3) have a button "export" and push it
4) take the files from $DOCUMENTROOT/wbfiles/myhomepage/ and upload them to your remote host...
5) thus you can create cool websites "on-the-fly" on your local server while hosting the pages on a 0,29ct-html-only webspace!

I think this would broaden the use of WB a lot...

(I haven't tried to use httrack for this idea...)
