if you want my nit picks....  these are all my opinions and you wont hurt my feelings if you disagree.

i don't like "film strips" where the pictures are different widths.  i'd make them the same width.

i don't like changing the texts weight to bold on hover, color is cool, weight make it dance

i don't get the reason for the ip information banner on the footer?  is that supposed to deter me from hacking the site? and it's animation is a bit annoying.

Other than that it looks GREAT.  although i don't speak German!

Keep up the good work!

what do you mean with that?

well - for it doesn't change its size, I think it makes the light blue with this grey or blue background more readable.

was just a testing thing for me

i'd make the white text bold too then...

about the "film strip"...
i'm talking about your header graphic.   look at the width of the cheerleader (nice rack).  compared to the width of the guitar players.  It looks to me that all your widths are different.  it just looks better if you make them all the same width when constructing a "film strip" collage<sp>.

i hope that helps..

Just fixed the filmstrip issue, but will keep the text links as they are.
Think they match to the rest of the site.

how about a random header? save the header file in the session variable... might look cool!

Well I think a static header fits better to the page, but I will try and look how it looks like.

Agree with most of the comments above. Overall decent, clean design, with a few changes to improve it:

- Get rid of the bold on rollover, the "jumping" is not the best look. Makes it look a little less professional.

- Load random top panel of images, for a more dynamic site that changes for each visit.

- Do something more with the main Homepage image, something other than just a rectangle image. Add some style to it. If you're not a graphic designer yourself then check out different photo effects and borders on the web and borrow ideas.

- Could do a little more to style the menu, rather than just a text list of items.

So I got to combine randomImage with reading/processing the session ID...?

Well - I like my sites as simple and readable as possible. But if you have good ideas I will think about them.

Use other sites for inspiration. Clean and simple doesn't have to mean dull...

My recent sites:

www.actionchildren. org
www.michezoyouth.co m

And a preview of a new one:

Not saying to use anything of mine or that mine are the best example, but there are plenty of examples out there that are "simple and readable" but a little more stylish. Basically your site looks like it's come from a default template, but a little more style and that could be changed.

Yes. View the source and where each of the elements are in the code, not so difficult. Just plain old DIVs and CSS.

And no, don't have time to create a template unfortunately. Plus, the designs themselves are proprietary.  ;)

@Dany: you could check out the updated version of the Uccellini template you based your design on. I added a script for rotating headers. Works flawlessly.

Funny enough, I've found with some more playing around that there are more CMS's that allow full template freedom - when you know how. Have a more complex project coming up for which I'm looking at Joomla for due to their extensive plugin/module list. At first couldn't make head nor tail, but after a day or so...

Love WB for straightforward content sites, but there's some power out there in some of the others. Keep an eye on the recent release of Drupal too, MUCH easier to use than the previous version, now just have to wait for their plugins to catch up.

;)
