My fist site using WB - and I'm impressed.

2 hours and the site is up and running.

http://www.alltrees.co.nz/wb/

BTW is it a simple matter to shift the site into the root folder?

nice looking site ... and yes, it is easy.

You move everything and edit the file config(.)php to reflect the new location. You might need to check the the DB for references to the old path, especially images, but that should be easy enough with a SQL Dumpfile.

cheers

Hello,

and you have to manually set the same ownerships and permissions to all files and folders as it was in the subdirectory, otherwise you run into problems.

My personal opinion is better to delete (files and database) the old installation and do a new clean installation in the root. As you said it only takes a few time to make a new page especially when you are at the beginning. It costs a lot of more time to set all owners and permissionas manually when you only move the files and edit the config(.)php.

I use .htaccess files to redirect users to a sub-folder, way faster and simpler.  It just works.

Thanks for those comments.  I moved all files from /wb/ to root and then edited the path info in config.php - other than a few images in pages that needed to be reloaded i have had no other problems.
