Too many redirects / admin login problem
« on: June 20, 2022, 01:57:36 AM »
Hello

One of my sites www.distribuidoraal cance.com using WB 12.2.1 is not working, any WB generated pages show an error (TOO MANY REDIRECTS).

It also doesn't allow me to access the admin, the login pages keeps asking for the username/password (I know I am entering them correctly, when I on purpose enter a worng password it shows me the alert that it is incorrect, but when I enter the correct one it only reloads the admin page).

In the past with WB2.8.3 I used to solve this by checking the config file and noticing if the page had http or https and www or non-www, but this has not helped me to login on this site.

How do I solve the redirect problem? Could that be causing the problem with the admin login or is it something else?

Thank you!

Are you working with a ".htaccess" file?
If so, disable it for a test.

An update to WB 2.13.1 + current patch would certainly not be wrong.

Thank you, it's working now :)

Can you give me a link to the 2.13.1 + current patch update download and instructions?

Here are the current downloads
WB 2.13.1
https://addon.WebsiteBaker.org/pages/en/browse-add-ons.php?id=0294EBA5

Patch zu WB 2.13.1
https://addon.WebsiteBaker.org/pages/en/browse-add-ons.php?id=0099E945

unzip.php
https://addon.WebsiteBaker.org/pages/en/browse-add-ons.php?id=04D6D0F4

Installation as follows
1. download all three links and copy them unpacked into the DokuRoot of the website (where the config.php is)
2. rename the unzip.php.zip to unzip.php
3. open the domain in the browser and add /unzip.php. Example: http(s)://domain.tld/unzip.php
4. in the window as first the WB2.13.1 unpack and directly as second the 2.13.1 patch unpack. Then you can also select the deletion of the unzip.php.
5. switch to the backend and run the upgrade script.
Done.
