Problem with backend French translation under IE8

Hi,

I just noticed after installing the latest version of WB 2.8 that the backend top menu displays the wrong characters for "Outils d'Administration", but under IE8 only.  As I use Firefox exclusively, I didn't notice until a client sent me a screenshot.  Before anyone asks me, the so-called "compatibility display mode" in IE doesn't change anything.  Where can I change this, and how?
