Code for next menu (without sibling)

How do I create a link to the next menu item? Example down here:

Menu item 1
 child 1
 child 2
Menu item 2
Menu item 3

I want on every "Menu item N" page a link to the next Menu item. This without the child. Anyone a suggestion?
