No content in new blocks
« on: May 18, 2010, 12:00:31 AM »
I just created 3 new blocks in an existing template (Ambience).  I followed the guidelines in creating the entries in info.php, placing the divs in the correct place in index.php and creating a style for each in screen.css.

I then created a new page using one of the new content blocks and added an image and some text.  Neither the image nor the text are displayed on the page.  I checked the page source and all three content blocks do exist and they do have an attached style - but no content.

When I inspect the element I see this... <div class="topimage" style="outline: 1px solid rgb(255, 0, 0);"></div>

I'm wondering if I should have created the new content blocks outside of WB, then created a new zip file of the template and then uploaded it.

Any thought or ideas will be welcome.

Did you set the content section to use that block? I mean in the Section settings of the page.

Yes thanks, I did set the section to what I thought were the correct blocks, but just discovered this morning, after hours of fruitless searching, that I had the block numbers out of step with the numbering in the info.php file!!

Once I fixed that everything was fine, but it's amazing how something so simple can elude you for days in spite of going over it again and again.

Thanks for your suggestion.
