Portfolio Site Check
« on: March 01, 2010, 06:10:29 AM »
I'm rebuilding my portfolio site with WB 2.8.1. I still have a lot of text to write, there's lots of Lorem ipsum in place for now, but I wanted to see what you guys think:

Thanks!

Looks great Greg, very nice selection of styles.

How did you do the display of your portfolio - the pages, not the images? They look great too!

I'd probably vary the style of your portfolio images to break them up a bit, and you've chosen a very narrow page width by today's standards  :-) - it might get lost on some of the higher resolution screens used now?

Thanks for your comments! Yeah, I worried about the page width too, and may widen it a little once I get the content done. It's from a open source template from a couple of years ago so it is a bit narrow.

For the portfolio pages, I used a CSS grid layout because I didn't want to resort to tables. I found several online layout generators but used this one: http://grid.mindplay.dk

I used a freeware program called Screenie to make the screenshots. I'll think about your suggestion to vary the styles.

Thanks so much for your feedback. It helps!
