Customizing templates
« on: October 23, 2009, 02:08:47 AM »
I am new to WebsiteBaker and am still discovering how it all works. If I find a template I like, how can I change the banner to one I want to use, the background color of the template, wish etc...?

Is it hard to make a template look the way I want for my web site? Is there a step by step guide or videos on how to do this?

Is there a way I can use the look and feel of my current web site in WebsiteBaker?

My current web site is www.mcran.com

Thanks!!

Hi Randy,
it' not so hard to create a WB template.
The first steps to do that are here:
http://help.WebsiteBaker.org/pages/en/advanced-docu/designer-guide/creating-a-wb-template.php

Visiting your site, I think one (ore more) of the existing templates (for example "AllCSS2") will fit your needs.
Please have a look at:
http://addons.WebsiteBaker.org/pages/templates.php
and
http://WebsiteBaker.at/wb-templates/

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Try this file.  I can't remember where I found it but it walks you through making a WB template.

This are only guidlines for template developer to let them know what a minimum requirement is for a WB template. In fact there are not well explaint. So it is better to use the Designers guide at the help page.

Hi,

all websitebaker2.org subdomains (except project.websitebake r2.org) were removed during the launch of the redesigned website.

New link: http://www.websitebaker2.org/en/help/designer-guide/creating-a-wb-template.php
