I've just put a new template for The Ashton Hotel in Lancaster online. Still a few tweaks to do so please let me know if you spot anything:

Thanks!

Hi,

I would remove link on menu item: Phone 01524 68460

Or at least make manual header redirection to some other page..

Template looks very nice.

cheers

On start page the fooder is hard to read on BG I think. At "rooms" I Don't like the Bathtub BG at wedding, meetings. Same at Treatments. The Image you use at links would be nicer. In IE the Gallery has a small Scrollbar at the bottom. Same at bookings. increase #copy a little bit should clear this. One other thik is maybe to highslide the img on the right collum as well. they are preddy small and I would like to see them in large without changing to Gallery.

All other stuff I Realls like. Lokks gread this side. Is there a special price for WB users? *jokeing*

@LordDarkman: Thanks for your reply. I agree, the footer isn't very clear, I will look into redesigning this, both the logos and the contact details. Thanks for highlighting the scrollbar, I'll look into this and the highslide option.

There's a lot of new images on its way so we'll hopefully end up having a dedicated backgroun image for most pages so watch this space.

As for a discount - it's always worth a try...!

What about a lightbox for the images on the right side, that gives it a little bit more interaction i think.

Did also something like that on www.rotjes.com

Nice job, like the thought of designing behind it.

Great thing, the A A A. Did that manually?

@bramus:
that's exactly what I mean in my post. Gread to see a image in the template and be possible to enlarge it directly. how you did it? which modul you used? I will do it by myself as well at a side I'm building, but didn't have the time to search AMASP.

@Boudi - I used a javascript called Styleswitcher (http://www.theashtonlancaster.com/templates/ashtonlancaster/styleswitcher.js) and then used alternative stylesheets (large and xlarge) to call on and linked to them with onclick="setActiveStyleSheet('screen'); return false;" - just have a look in the source code and you'll see it. The two alternative stylesheets import the main one but overwrite it only in places where the font size matters.

Nothing to it!

Hope this helps,

Konrad
