This one has been a battle. One of those sites from hell, that has everything go wrong that can. But it's finally done.

Nice site, I really like it! A few details though, on which you may or may not agree:
1. I wonder if the different fonts work well together, maybe you should stick to one
2. The background pic on the pages may be a bit too heavy, the text on top is a bit hard to read.

Also, on some of the pages, the footer doesn't reach all the way to the bottom of the browser window. There is a white gap at the bottom of varying height, depending on the page content.

I totally understand what you're saying. However, I think one font is too sterile for this site. That works for hi-tech but not for selling the experience of flavorful food. The "look and feel" description I got from the clients during the planning phase included: vibrant, not-corporate, colorful, warm and interesting.

I had several discussions with the clients about both the background and fonts. I at least got the font number down to three. They wanted almost everything in a different font and different color! The Provisions banner font is part of their branding and is on all their printed material. It's absolutely important to use that font as a gif. Then there's one font for headings and one for body text. The different font sizes are the results of using lots of headings for semantic markup.

Okay, I understand your motivations. Sometimes client demands can be very tough to deal with :-)
You did a great job with that, really.

Great site - really strong, clear design and I particularly like the use of images. Could I ask a couple of questions?

I've been looking for a font like the one used for the main header 'Provisions' for ages - could you let me know which one that is?

Also, the email newsletter box. Is that something you've got from WebsiteBaker or is it a function you've coded in? I'd really like to add something like this, but I'm not sure whether I can use a WB form to do it.

The font is Kabal Book. The link for the newsletter goes to an installation of dada mail a CGI mass mailing program. http://mojo.skazat.com/
