Question about template compatibility
« on: June 22, 2009, 04:57:16 AM »
Well actually several questions:

1. Should 2.6 templates work with 2.7 or is there some modification needed

2 Regarding #1, if the repository is incorrect when it says 2.6 or older, and the templates are compatible up to 2.7, what would be a possible source for the invalid file upload errors for several that I downloaded?

In the case of Andreas08, it uploaded OK, but there is no change when I apply it. I have repackage the archive in order to eliminate the root folder. Still the same result.

basically all WB 2.6 Templates also works with WB 2.7. without any issues. Only if you wanna have the WB 2.7 feature that modul css files are in the head section of your template and not in the body you have to add some adittional lines in the index.php of your template. (http://start.websitebaker2.org/en/wb-2.7.php see "Wrap up").

You answered it yourself. Most issues are wrong zipped files. If you use the templates from our addons page, let the zip-packages untouched no errors should occour (except you use a MAC as there the zip file handling could be configured in another way).

Where did you change it? You have two places. You can choose it as default template in the WB settings for all pages wich have no individual template, and you can give every page a individual template wich overwrites for this page the default template. So if you have added in the settings of your pages for every page a individual template changes on the default template in the WB settings have no effect.
