2 new cakes
« on: January 08, 2009, 09:38:31 PM »
Hi bakers,

These have been a busy couple of days. During my 2 week vacation at the end of last year and this first week of the year i have been finalizing some website i have been working on.

1. First one website i already showed you, www.sabobo.nl.

2. And now the other two, www.bodypt.nl and www.cryptanthus.nl

bodypt.nl is for a personal trainer. I ported a template he bought, no easy job.

cryptanthus.nl is for cattery. Lots of work entering all the cats info.

The bodypt.nl site looks very nice but I noticed that the English pages did not appear to be complete and were missing much of the data that was on the NL pages.

Also, you might want to check out your syntax in places...quite a few errors. For example, use <script type="text/javascript"> instead of  <script language="JavaScript"> since the language element for the SCRIPT tag is depreciated.

hi Tyronne,

The bodycript has a to large width for the home page at IE6.
Since 19,6 % of the browsers-users still uses this browser, please think of those users as well.

The menu from the cats have a white overlay so while hovering you do'nt see the link anymore.
Maybe you beter choose another hover collour?

Hi Marathoner,

That's right the English part needs to be finished after i receive the content.

I will look after the syntax errors.

Hi,

About cryptanthus:
On the page "kittens", the top 3 images are 5.6 Mb. Wow...  and the 4 pictures below are 92 Kb.... hmmm... Not everybody has a fast internet connection.

The bodypt-site-looks nice, but the menu links deserve some styling that match the rest of the layout. They're just plain unstyled links now.

I really miss some header or homepage graphics on the cats-site. And why begin the homepage with a "Bijgewerkt op" remark? That's rather uninteresting info for visitors, and it looks silly especially with all the whitespace.

Hi bakers,

@Argos: the bodypt links is kind of finished for now, but i will keep your suggestion in mind. I agree that the cryptanthus header could need some more graphics. The "is bijgewerkt..." line has been put there by the owner.
