Just recetly ported over this site from CMS Made simple, now using WB 2.7 and loving it.

http://www.goodoldtrucks.com

Let me know what you think.  It's still very much a work in progress as far as fetures go.  The biggest thing being the classifeds section.  I have yet to find a free classifieds script that works well so I am attempting to make my own which will hopefuly be realeased as a module for WB.

Comments and suggestion o always welcome.

Hi,

Clean and nice site. Whitch template are you using? The menu in the template looks different in IE7 & FF.
If I enlarge a picture from the Gallery, I can't go back. I must use the backspace button. The pictures takes a long time to load. Maybe you should use a different way to show the pictures. If you use "another image gallery", it works with thumbs which loads faster.

You love WB2.7... we all do  :-D

Hi,

as Luc already wrote, the pictures are taking too long for loading.
Let me say it a little bit more precise: The fotos You are using are not weboptimized. For example in the 50s section You are using 3072px × 2304px (skaled to 400px × 300px) for the "big" image, but also for the thumb 40x40 it´s skaled.
Let me say it a little bit more specific: this is friendly said NO-GO.

Before You carry on - optimize things as far You are.

First of all prepare You fotos for the web. Directly from the camera is good for printing but unusable for a gallery. If You are new to this - read this short hints. And maybe You like the gallery - so get and use it!
And if You are a little bit experienced - You can get a gallery like thisone by a snip with your fingertips.
Annother part is the news-section. What did You do? - In the overview it´s trying to load pictures - showing a placeholder for it - but after a while the placeholders dissapear and the text shrinks.  :?

Anyway - You are on the right way. You have got the best CMS for Your needs - just read a little in the user-guide. It is very different to CMsimple - but once You have some experience with it - You´ll just smile about the tryout-phase.

Thanks guys.  I am fully aware of the issue with the pics in the gallery.  I just have no had time ti web optimize all the pics YET.  I am also working on that menu issue between IE and Firefox it's a bit of a thinker though I have tried a few things and can't seem the figure that one out.  same goes for the image popup thing in the blog/news section.  Not really sure why it does that I am just to unfamiliar with that particular module.

I am a (it think) a farily goood coder.  I can at least tweak a few things here and there if I need to.  I have been very busy trying to get better with php and other things so I can build and tweak things more effiecntly.

Again thanks for your comments and suggestions.  I'll take ll I can get.  And to answer the question about the template.  It's my own creation.  I can make it available to others if people like it.  It's 100% div and CSS based, I also have version with a total CSS popout/flyout menu on the side or across the top.
