Website for a customer
« on: June 20, 2008, 03:38:10 PM »
Hi bakers,

This is my latest website i made for a customer. They organise hardstyle parties. http://www.braincrackers.nl

Used some mods, nothing fancy.

Must say i am not unhappy with the result, even though some little things need to be finished.

What do you think?

Looks nice, only the text in the header is hard to read, and the "Foto" gallery text is also hard to read (next previous and so on).

Hi,

I agree with Bramus, maybe color:black will be much better.
And one thing more: Why  are you using fotos with ex. 270 x 172 px but 395.431 bytes ? - this could be done with around 61.440 Bytes with best quality. Even with around 16.384 bytes by compressing it to 75%.

Ahhhhhja - You are using pics with 768 x 530 px but showing it with 270 x 172 px.

You could dramaticly speed up the site by correcting this. Reduce the picturesize to the needed size. If you want the pics in best quality and big size than make a separate folder containing the HQ pictures and create a link to them.

It´s a little work but a big win!

Best regards from Himberg, (nearby Vienna)

Hi bakers,

I know i have to change to color for the image gallery navigation.

The reason for the big picture sizes is that i was too lazy to shrink them. I just uploaded them like that i dont want download again shrink and having to upload back, so i am trying to shrink them on the server by using a php script that i will be coding soon.

Bye
