I am not a web professional, but in the past I enjoyed creating websites in html and css, with the help of WebsiteBaker.

Hi everyone, I have a question that I hope you can answer.

The advantage of this CMS was to help me add pages and content, while still using HTML and CSS in the traditional way.

Today WebsiteBaker is no longer up to date and I am looking for a more modern alternative.

I tried with WordPressa, but it is too complex a CMS, which would require me to learn from scratch a new programming language, additional to HTML and CSS.

Can you recommend a SIMPLE CMS, which has similar functions to those that WebsiteBaker had and which allows you to create custom templates using HTML and CSS and without having to learn complicated and different typical CMS codes (as in the case of Wordpress)?

Thank you!

Can you explain why you think WebsiteBaker doesn't allow you to create custom templates using HTML and CSS? To my knowledge this has been always the case and still is?

Hello,

wich version of WebsiteBaker did you use? Have you tested the latest Version WB 2.13.2?

One of the benefits of WB is, that the developpers try to split the code from the system (WB) and the design (Template). So User can simply create their Design with HTML and CSS. Only where dynamic Content is needed you have to add little Code wich brings the content to your Page.

You are looking for a SIMPLE CMS. WebsiteBaker should be you first choice. It is the easyiest CMS I ever found.

I can only agree with Matthias.

But explain this sentence of yours to us:

Then we can perhaps better understand what you mean by it.
