Bye Bye WB!
« on: September 08, 2014, 09:47:58 PM »
WB has been great for me over the last few years but it's time to say good bye.

Over the last few months I have been playing around with other CMS systems as I feel WB is lacking behind, I don't mean this in a bad way as it is a great simple CMS, easy to use and open source it's just way behind whats out there today.

I wish the team behind WB all the best :)

Well, good luck then...
Maybe you tell us which CMS is your new favourite?

I suggest:
http://get-simple.info/

- Very easy template system (similar to WB)
- without the need of a database
- many plugins
- easy to use for customer
- german lang file
- 7 main developer / supporter

I'm very impressed! This German review is for an older version, but in conclusion: great!

Well, I must admit that GetSimple isn't so bad at all. Actually, it might be even a better choice than WB for simply strutured, small websites. BANG!
Of course there are some disadvantages, e.g. it seems to be quite tricky to have more than one content section on a page, there are many extensions which only work with older versions of GS, and the simplicity of this CMS gets lost as more extensions are installed, but nevertheless... if you dare to look beyond your own nose, it might be a helpful inspiration.
