Die Entwicklung ist nicht stehen geblieben. Unsere meisten Module für Inhalte in Text und Bild erlauben nur die altbekannten Formate *.bmp, *.gif, *.jpg und *.png.
Am modernsten ist da noch der Editor, der seit WB 2.13.0 auch *.webp unterstützt.
In der nächsten WB-Version kommt dann noch *.avif und *.heic dazu.
Ideal wäre wohl eine globale Upload-Klasse, die wäre aber auch nur nutzbar, wenn alle betreffenden Module diese auch nutzen würden. Schneller würde es wohl gehen, wenn wir als "erste Hilfe" ein paar Module aus unserem Addon-Bereich entsprechend erweitern würden, vielleicht auch gleich "zweigleisig", so, das sie später solch globale Klasse nutzen könnten

OnaforAll (OFA) wurde in einem Beitrag schon genannt, die Minigallery und Minislides scheinen auch recht beliebte Addons zu sein. Eine Liste der benötigten Module wäre nicht schlecht, vielleicht auch mit entsprechenden Prioritäten

Weg möchte ich von der alten, mittlerweile nicht mehr gepflegten PHPThumbFactory, die wurde ja hauptsächlich in der Mediaverwaltung zur Thumberstellung genutzt. Da gehts dann eher in Richtung Intervention/Image bzw Intervention/Gif in Verbindung mit Imagick, das wohl mittlerweile überall frei verfügbar ist. Alternativ dann die GDLib

Development has not stood still. Most of our modules for text and image content only support the familiar formats *.bmp, *.gif, *.jpg and *.png.
The most modern is the editor, which has also supported *.webp since WB 2.13.0.
The next WB version will add *.avif and *.heic.
A global upload class would be ideal, but it would only be usable if all relevant modules also used it. It would probably be quicker if we expanded a few modules from our add-on section as a "first aid" measure, perhaps even "two-pronged", so that they could use such a global class later on.

OnaforAll (OFA) has already been mentioned in a post, and Minigallery and Minislides also seem to be quite popular add-ons. A list of the required modules would be useful, perhaps with corresponding priorities.

I would like to move away from the old PHPThumbFactory, which is no longer maintained and was mainly used in media management for thumbnail creation. I'm leaning more towards Intervention/Image or Intervention/Gif in conjunction with Imagick, which is now freely available everywhere. Alternatively, there is GDLib.

So, let's get started on the wish list.
