Anyone have good PHP Reference Materials?
« on: October 26, 2006, 09:05:45 PM »
Greetings and Salutations, Fellow Bakers!

After immersing myself into the web design industry this past year, perfecting minimum markup and learning CSS... I've caught my eye on another amazing tool I can use... PHP!

Thanks to WebsiteBaker, I'm actually starting to understand the successful marriage between HTML/CSS/PHP (well, perhaps an unconventional marriage of three. :P ).

So my next goal is to jump into enlightenment with PHP. My usual course of action is to find a great selections of books/websites for reference material.

In short, my pursuit for knowledge of PHP is underway, and I'm posting here to request any advice on where to look....

Do you have a favorite book or website that helped you reach further enlightenment with PHP? If so, please let me know!

I'm determined to get comfortable with PHP before this year is over, and ultimately make myself a professional baker... or perhaps even a Baker's Baker. ;)

Thanks for any assistance!

I think "PHP in a Nutshell" from O'Reilly is a good start. Anyway, in general I like their books.

cheers

I agree with Klaus, "PHP in a Nutshell" is a good start.

In addition you can try one of the links below:
