[049] Error. Access denied.
« on: February 26, 2022, 08:24:34 PM »
I just upgraded to 2.13.0 r63. I logged in as admin and tried to add a page. I got this error message:

[049] Security offense!! Access denied!

I'm using Firefox 97.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Professional. I am trying to add a page with Type "Code v3.0.6", Parent "None" and Visibility "Public".

Can anyone provide additional information or tell me how to best debug this problem?

I was able to add a page with a different name without error. The page name seems to be the problem. I've looked in the tables in the database for that page name, but don't see it, so I'm not sure why it is stumbling on it.

The page name is:

Resources Now

I think it was successfully added, at some point, then deleted. I have other names with spaces in them (which result in a dash or hyphen in the name, so that this would be created as "resources-now").

It looks like there is residual information in the tables or someplace on the website that I don't know about.

I determined why this happens. It appears I deleted the page from the table, but not the corresponding .php file in the pages directory. I renamed that file by prefixing "x" and I was able to add the page.

I'm not sure why I had problems deleting the page to begin with. It might have failed when I tried to use the trash can, or maybe I just got it wrong. However, this problem looks to be solved. Thanks for all your help!

A little help for next time...   8-)

After manual changes to the database, it makes sense to run the maintenance tools.
These can be found via the Info button in the backend (only available as a superadmin).

[Repair Pages Link Structure] Checks the linking of the pages in the database and if necessary corrects them into a working state.

[Rebuild Pages Access Files] Deletes all access files and its subfolders in the Pages folder and rebuilds them from the database

greatings,
