News archiver module?
« on: August 20, 2018, 11:41:53 AM »
Hi there,

i have a question. I have a site where there are many, but really many news. The DB seems pretty big now and the site works a bit slow when news should be added. I think the problem comes from the huge number of articles. Is there a way to archive them somehow automatically? Any module?

Hi, i know only module topics what can automatically move items to a other topics section (the archive).
But for the offcial news module i don't know a module.
Should maybe possible with a database query for created_when or published_when (and a max time range until now) and then change the page_id/section_id (to where the archive news module section is). this code could be executed via cronjob... only a idea.
