EU GDRP compliance
« on: May 08, 2018, 09:29:26 AM »
Hello, does anyone know how to handle WB cookies to comply with GDRP?

How long do sessions cookies last by default?

For example, I guess sessions cookies are essential, could we use something like this on the cookie policy page?

essential   wb_2176_session_id      1d
These cookies are essential for the correct behavior of the site and its features

Are there other cookies within WB core and modules?

Thank you!

The session cookie expires after the session, so closing the browser will remove the cookie.
This is the only cookie set by the core (actually by PHP).

Modules can set their own cookies, but (as far as I know) there is no list of modules that could do that.
Every browser has the option to view cookie information of the current website. So if you want to be sure just visit all pages, and check that list.

Ruud was faster ...  :-)

Hi, the cookie will be deleted with end of session (closing browser).
You should use a part (from GDRP generators) for cookies in your privacy policy. It's safer.

So far i know developer Dietmar is working on a cookie module, for showing a cookie banner.
This or other cookie solutions will set also a cookie.

Hello, thank you both for your quick reply.

DBS, you mentioned: "You should use a part (from GDRP generators) for cookies in your privacy policy."

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean, what is a GDRP generator?
