MiniSlider not loading any theme
« on: October 26, 2017, 09:54:34 AM »
Hi all, fresh install of WB 2.10.0 and using the Minislider (v.0.1), I have a strange problem I never had before:

- The theme is not loading. When I go to settings, it will show "theme default and transition type slice down" - but when I change the latter part to "fade", it will not keep this, the next time I open settings it is again "slice down". The actual effect between images on the website seems to be random, sometimes fade, sometimes slide ...

- So when I look in to the code, it shows that the slider starts with the code

Code: [Select]
<div class="slider-wrapper theme-">
So the word "default" behind "theme-" is missing. Hence no default.css is loaded and instead of the bullets I see 123 for the three images scrolling.

I haven't changed anything at all with the module and have used the same install file in several other projects without problems.

Anyone has an idea why this is happening???

Astrid

Hast du die OutputFilter mal mit funktionierenden Seiten verglichen?

Have you compared the OutputFilter times with functioning sides?

Yep, doesn't change anything. I have tried switching any filter on or off, no change at all...

Gerade das 1. Mal mit php5.6  installiert und 3 Bilder hochgeladen.
Der Code sieht bei mir so aus
Code: [Select]
<div class="slider-wrapper theme-bar"><divund es läuft auch so wie es soll.

Just the first time with php5.6 installed and 3 pictures uploaded.
The code looks with me so
Code: [Select]
<div class = "slider-wrapper theme-bar"> <div [/ code]
and it runs as it should.

Also just tried using the standard WB template instead of my own to make sure I don't have any error in the header of my template - it's the same, no change at all.

The error log is empty.

Any other idea?

Look here, line 3, missing end quotes
Code: [Select]
<script type="text/javascript">
$(function(){
    $("#menu li).hover(function () {
        $("#menu #menu li").slideToggle("slow");
    });
});
</script>

That's right, but that's not the problem.... like I said, it shows the same issue when I use the standard WB template.

You can check the database. The class and transition for the slider is stored in table mod_minislider.

Hmm... I have no phpmyadmin access.... only got the database and ftp details from the client. Is there any other way I can check the database? Probably not...

Easiest way is adminer (https://www.adminer.org/de/).
1 file to upload. With the database details you can login.

Ok, thanks, didn't know that yet. :-)

Here's the structure of the table mod_minislider:

section_id   int(11)
  •

page_id   int(11)
  •

texts   text
class   varchar(64) [slideshowHolder]
transition   varchar(64) []
Indizes
PRIMARY   section_id

Difference to my DB entry is only here

transition   varchar(64) [sliceDown]

The rest is like in your dB with other entries

Should look like this
http://prntscr.com/h27fzs

Have you tried to reload modules
or
upgrade the module minislider via addons > modules > advanced

Before I opened this thread, I have twice deleted the section MiniSlider and completely deinstalled and reinstalled the module. It didn't change anything.

Just tried right now the "advanced" option to "upgrade" Minislider. Didn't change anything either.

I do not know what we can do. Something to see with mysql 'strict' in the i-button?
Hope Ruud will read here.

OK - maybe I found the problem. I specifically asked the client for PHP 5.6 minimum and MySQL 5.6 minimum and was guaranteed that this would be it .. (they even went to a "new" server, because the first one I got only had PHP 5.3 and MySQL 5.1 ...

Now I check, and the MySQL versions appears to be 5.5.47 - it's possible that this would cause the error? 5.6 is minimum requirement, right?

This is what it says:

Code: [Select]
    Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
    Server-Version: 5.6.29 [STRICT]
    Protokoll-Version: 10
    Datenbank-Client Version: 5.5.47
    Datenbank-Client encoding: utf8

You can test these strict save.php, maybe it helps.

If now is something in database, but it works not like expected in frontend, we have to change the view.php also.
