PHP safe mode?

(1/2) > >>

JC:
Hi,
I´m wondering about PHP safe mode. In the instalation manual it says that PHP safe mode should be turned off so I checked with the company where I have my website! And off course, they have safe mode turned on... And turning it off was not an option!
A little bit dissapointed I thought to myself that maybe iI should give it a try anyway. So I installed WB on the server to see what hapened. And it seems to work!? What is the reason for why PHP safe mode has to be turned off?

I would be very greatful for an answer as soon as possible!

By the way, WebsiteBaker seems to be a great CMS!

Best regards, JC

Stefan:
Please try to use the search function. Safe mode has been discussed in various threads.

i2Paq:
How many pages did you create?

JC:
I made 5 pages, just as a test to see if it would work. And it actually seems to work fine!

I´ll make a new search on PHP Safe mode to see if I can find anything!

I think it 'll work for you

the safe mode needs to be off so php can create files in your webspace
Your installation does, so no troubles I think.

Try installing a module to see if that goes well too
