Here's a site I did for a band in South London. I went for quite a simple layout, although there are some little quirky things in there if you look...

What do people think?

Yeah, original design. It is very very very slow however... Takes ages to open.

Its good, I just dont like your menu hover effects.

Heh... that was a special request from the band - they are the kind of people who like quirky things >_>

Same with the scrolling lines underneath the titles in the menu.
