Hosting is always accepted for the mirror network if you are able to supply some

BTW guys I thought I'd remind you about my annual 3 week holiday.
I will be leaving either tomorrow afternoon (26th) or early morning on the 27th.
However, this is because of my family's business I will be coming back home probably once a week (except for the first week - I won't be back until the 2nd/3rd).
Hope to see many 2.6.5 sites when I get back

This alone is a great and very useful addition, I must go and read about other improvements!

One question, how do I update from 2.6.2??

Hello!
In the Release Notes of 2.6.5:
Quote
== Upgrading from 2.6.x to 2.6.5 ==
Simply update all changed files and you're done (remember not to overwrite custom addons, or config.php).

I am a noob and wanted to know EXACTLY how to upgrade from WB 2.6.4 to 2.6.5.

I would hate to mess up my existing site and really need to do this right.

Would anyone care to write an idiots step-by-step guide please for us mentally challenged? Or is there one already posted?

Hello,

if you already have a 2.6.x version installed

1. unzip the WB 2.6.5 package.
2. delete the install.dir and the config.php from this package
3. Upload all other files with ftp to your server, overwrite all existing files

Thats all, nothing else is to do and your site should work without any problems.

If you use the advanced news or form modul from the addons page, please don't overwrite the files for this modules with the one from WB 2.6.5. Simply delete the modules/form and the modules/news folder in the WB 2.6.5 package before uploading the files to your host.

Matthias

Thank you for a nice program.

I have made an update from 2.6.4 to 2.6.5. I:

1) removed the install directory and config.php
2) overwrote the template folder "round" with my own modfied one (from 2.6.4)

The problem is that I am from Denmark and we use characters like Æ, Ø and Å. Now everything has been messed up in the menu so: "Å" has become "Ã¥" and so on.

Is there a smart workaround this problem - or should I manually rewrite alll of them?

PS: There is no problem with the "text" only the "menutext".

Hello,

we changed a lot of things in the core files and recognized after releasing WB 2.6.5 that there are some issues with languages with special chars when UTF8 is used as charset. If you search the forum you will find a lot of discussion about this.

The bad news:
there is no smart workaround

the good news:
we have fixed it for version 2.6.6

So best is to give you a package with the fixed files and you use this fixed files. With this files your page should work as before and all special chars should be shown as before. Unfortunately i can make here no export from SVN, so if you are inetersted send me a PM with your Mail and i send yout the package later when I'm at home.

Sorry for the circumstances

Matthias

Hello,

2.6.6 is already ready and i think it will be released soon. So i think it is better to wait till the official release.

@Brumm
v2.6.6 is currently tested by the developer team. If no bugs will be found, it should be released within the next 2-3 weeks.
