Title: Unable to login as admin
Post by: mikejd on January 07, 2022, 03:46:55 PM
Using WB v2.13 and have just upgraded php on my hosting to v7.4. Now seem to have 2 problems:

1. The website can be accessed but doesn't appear to be recognising the css file.

2. Unable to login as admin. Tried forgotten password link, got new password but still not working.

Hello, this was an upgrade?
You have seen an upgrade page?
WB 2.13 can't use the argos_Theme, only the DefaultTheme.
Seems all css files are loaded correctly. What are you missing?

I was advised by my host Ionos that phpv7.3 was no longer being freely supported and I should upgrade to v7.4 to continue not paying extra for support.

I am assuming a css problem as the pages appear to be displayed without styling. I can't login as admin to change the backend theme.

I may have found a reason for the styling issue:-
I was advised that the site was using an unsecured server so I reissued the SSL certificate in the hosting control panel so it now uses https. In the template all the links to stylesheets are http. If I change the site address to http it works properly. Does this mean I have to go through the template and manually change all the links?

I still can't login as admin.

If you want use ssl you have to change the config.php in root.
Change the address from http to https.

Thanks. I have edited the config file to https and the site is now working properly. I can also login as Admin. However, it doesn't allow me to upload files to Media, I get a security error.
