Title: 2 sites from Holland
Post by: jschor on May 06, 2006, 02:51:21 PM
http://www.quincy.nl
simple layout with tables.
http://www.abina.nl
My first tableless layout. Two templates used for the site with same layout but different colors and images. Templateimages from /media directory so customer can change them if he wants. There is a second blok in the left bottom corner but not in use yet. Maybe for latest 5 news items or so. Modules used: form, panoramic viewer, questbook. For partypictures in partyzone i used TinyWebGallery.
Had some problems to get it right in firefox (vertical stretching), but found i fix for it. Don't know if i applied it correctly, but it works.

On the quincy site is the banner supposed to have lines through the picture? Is that te design or did you stich several images together for a panoramatic shot or to load faster?

abina.nl
Has a big picture that took a little while to load. But!!! you used CSS so the rest of the site did not have to wait for it. That is the good part of css.

Love the first one.

I like the red design on the second one a lot. The white design is much less dynamic but still nice. What I don't care for is the dramatic change between the two.

The idea of different colors for different sections is good but the change is so great that they don't even look like the same page. I think if you used two dark or two light designs it would be better.

First one is simple but nice and effective.
On the second one I agree with Michael. Good you avoid tables. Much cleaner, isn't it?

Both nice, although I like the first one much better. Very nice design, well implemented.
