The next step is most likely 2.6.4,  or maybe even 2.7.0. Within 6 months, we should see 3.0-alpha1 (not 2.9.9). :wink:

Probably a dumb question, but is there a download package that only includes the changed files? the upgrade instructions say simply overwrite the changed files, but how do I know which ones they are?

Well I usually do one, but at the moment I don't really have the time (I've never figured out a quick way to do it).
Hopefully another team member will help me out here by doing it for me. Otherwise, you'll have to figure things out for yourself, sorry.

Hello,

@valerie
you can overwrite all files from WB 2.6.2 with the new ones from WB 2.6.3 except config(.)php. And you don't need to copy the install folder to your hoster. Thats all.

A inofficial package with only the changed files from WB 2.6.3 you can download here (http://www.familie-gallas.de/media/File/WebsiteBaker-2.6.3_update.zip). You can try this too, but no warranty :wink:, because as i said it is inofficial.

@all updater
if you use the extended news or form modul from the forum, please don't overwrite the files in the modules/news and/or modules/form folder with the one from WB 2.6.3. The changes from WB 2.6.3 are already included in the versions from the forum.

Matthias

Edit:
Sorry Ryan, posted at the same time as you. Have a look at the files from my homepage, the package should include all changed files from WB 2.6.3.

Thanks ruebenwurzel. That worked great. I have two sites to upgrade and that really helped.

Hello!

A inofficial package with only the changed files from WB 2.6.3 you can download here (http://www.familie-gallas.de/media/File/WebsiteBaker-2.6.3_update.zip). You can try this too, but no warranty :wink:, because as i said it is inofficial.

I compared file dates in the official 2.6.3 release against file dates in the 2.6.2 release, and found that 90 files have changed dates. But for some reason, not all of them have changed content. In your inofficial update package, you have only 61 files. As example, you are missing the changed file install/save.php in your package.

When the update log is missing, the best way is to run a complete file compare of the packages. But hopefully we can use the file date as a reference for content changes.

Hello fjord,

yes, you are wright, but to upgrade from 2.6.2 to 2.6.3 you only need the files with changed content and for an upgrade you don't need the install directory. So this is why i made this small inofficial upgrade package.

I made this only because ryan and stefan seems to be very busy. I hope with the next version they also release a official changed files package.

The file date could be one reference but the better one is the file ID wich you found in the header of the most files.

Hi guys,

Good to see someone working on an upgrade package (even if it is unofficial), for those that can't for whatever reason download the full 700kb+ package.
Please note that Subversion ID headers will be the same on all files - so using it as a reference for changes won't be a good idea.

Ryan.

oooops my mistake. Answered to fast after standing up from my bed today. So the date of the files is a better reference.
