Title: openGraph and Twitter Cards in socialBaker snippet
Post by: Ruud on May 11, 2015, 10:53:40 PM
Today I launched socialBaker v2.0:

Added is an extra function that allows you to add the openGraph metatags and Twitter Card metatags to your pages.
This data is considered a must by (some) SEO specialists.
It will also allow you to add a "per page" image for Facebook and Google+ shares by just uploading an image with the correct name (i.e. {PAGE_ID}.jpg) into a special media folder..

Yes!!  :-D

ThnQ MC Ruud!

This is exactly what I needed as an extension of your snippet. Lately more and more clients asked me If I could insert the FB code in order to customize the image they wanted so see after sharing their url on facebook. Besides that this extension is also not bad for seo.

Thnx mate!

Hi Ruud
I changed the include.php to show news with the modul topics.
But I have a problem with the og:url. It's missing a slash / after "pages", so the url looks like this:
<meta property="og:url" content="http://website.com/pagestopics-title.php" />

Do you have an idea how to solve this problem? It would be great you could include the modul topics by default.
Many thanks anyway for your great work.

Topics has a bit different way of building the article link. It uses a configurable setting that allows you to use a directory of your choice to store the articles. The standard WB method of building the link does not work.

I was already planning to add topics, so I added it now.
Just download the current version (http://www.dev4me.nl/modules-snippets/opensource/socialbaker/) (2.1).

Just released v2.3.

A very small addition that will add a canonical link when using openGraph();
