Title: Ever wonder what platform a site uses?
Post by: Argos on April 20, 2012, 02:18:05 PM
If you are a webdesigner of developer you probably sometimes come across a site and wonder what platform (CMS, webshop, etc) it uses. Many times you can quickly work it out by looking in the source code, where clues often can be found. But sometimes it's a bit harder, and maybe you cannot even work it out. Well, just use this site and you'll see what platform and technology a site uses by entering its URL:
http://builtwith.com/

I love it!  :-D

Strange results for sites which are built with WebsiteBaker... and it discovers Ruby where it definitively isn't used...

Yeah, you're right, it's a pretty crude application when you look at the details... But it still can be useful I think for some rough info on sites.

Ruby and WB? LOL  :-o
