Title: Bakery, Canadian Taxes and Paypal Payments
Post by: mjm4842 on August 02, 2010, 07:59:43 AM
Is there any way that I could possibly have PayPal handle adding taxes? I am trying to make Bakery work somehow with the Candian Tax system. While I like Bakery a lot, this shortcomming is preventing me from continuing with it. For more information, see:

If you tell PayPal how to add the tax and you tell Bakery not to add any taxes, you end up with the right total. The down side is that you don't end up with a usable invoice in Bakery. Still trying to figure out how that's going to work. If someone has any suggestions, it would be much appreciated.

Here is a link on how to setup the taxes by province in PayPal:

When Bakery's PayPal module sends you to Paypal, it says "Total incl. tax and shipping" at the top of the screen. Then it now goes and adds tax. Anyone know how to tell PayPal that the amount being submitted does not include taxes or shipping?

With  best regards,

Michael

I spoke with the folks at Paypal recently. Apparently there is no way to include any notes on their invoices and hence, no way to add things like your GST/HST number on their invoice.
