Title: Umbraco "insert Page Field" are great! Feat for wb?
Post by: Lotus on April 03, 2009, 12:07:13 AM
An Open Source "competing" CMS written for .NET called Umbraco has a great (one of many) feature(s) when inserting content place holders in the template. I am sure that those of you that has used it agree that the dialog is very helpful.

It relies on a backend teplate editor and when you plce your marker in the code and hit a button youll get a dialog asking you what kind, code before, code after, strip paragraph tags etc.  you want to insert. This code affects the kind.

The kind is based on your configuration. So if you for instance have two blocks they would show in the kind list.

Example of usage:
It is heasy when you want to surround the placeholder with a <div class=""> but only when there are any content.

ok, i know everything can be done with PHP easy but ..for those other users who dosent know it is a step forward in template editing..

A userfriendly step for WB?
