Title: New german site
Post by: albatros on March 10, 2009, 07:40:14 PM
Hi bakergirls and bakerboys,

I didn't have plenty of time, so I had to work quickly, but hopefully not too dirty on http://www.beratung-coaching-training.biz/ (http://www.beratung-coaching-training.biz/).

Best Regards

Uwe

Hi Uwe,

I like the clean style, but it looks like a header is missing. Maybe it's the design how you want it, but it's too much white space in the upper left corner for my taste. Remember that people always begin to read and look in the upper left corner, so when you see only white space there is kinda strange and distracting, as it serves no purpose in your design. For the rest: nice site!

Ah - you are using the Topics-Module. :)

Looks good, but I would leave a bit more space on the right side. And a bit more line-height to give some lightness.

Hi Jurgen, hi Chio,

thanks to both of you for your comments and suggestions!

The owner of the site exaclty knew, what he wanted (except topics in combination with anytopics) and how the layout shold look like. So he gave me his ppt and a pdf and had to rebuild it as a website. That dosn't mean, that he is resistant to consultation. No, no! But now both of us like it, as it is. Maybe because it's different.

In the discussion about his website, he told me that he also wanted to start a blog. Maybe as en external site, maybe as a subpage. We had a former common project for the website of a small hotel. There the way was the same. I made a site of his layout with some small changes. A bigger one was the use of the news-modul in combination with anynews. Now he and his wife are really, really happy with the number of visitors and plus of bookings genereated by the website. Happy customers make me very happy!  :-D

But because of searchengines (and maybe a better support of them) we gave topics/anytopics a trial. Until now they seem to work very well (a special thanks here to Chio!).  :-D

So I think there will be no change of the header, but I will think about more space for anytopics.

Again, thank you very much Jurgen and Chio. Any additional critics are welcome.

Best regards

Uwe
