Title: Failed to copy a webpage as template using "save page as"
Post by: web_baker on February 25, 2009, 01:33:26 AM
I ran into a nice landing page today, which is canadapost.ca, so I use "save page as" to save the page into a directory, followed the help on website baker, made the required info.php. But when I uploaded the template, it didn't show up. What could be wrong?

I'm fully intend to modify the page as my landing page, I just like it's structure and color scheme.

Hello,

this is no WebsiteBaker Template and cannot be installed in WB. It first must be adapted to be a WebsiteBaker Template.

follow the steps shown on the help website to create a WebsiteBaker template from an existing page.

You should also be aware of copyright. You cannot just take an existing design and use that. Structure+colors=design.
