Title: Do I have to use a template?
Post by: susiegb on May 24, 2007, 03:01:41 AM
I'm thinking about using WebsiteBaker, but I want to be able to use my own designs. Is this possible or do I have to use one of your templates?

The template controls the look and feel of your WB web pages.It controls the layout of the pages, the orientation of any menus (horizontal or vertical), usage of breadcrumbs, standard banner, etc. You are required to use a template but it doesn't matter whether you use your own or a predefined template. It's often easier to start with a predefined template and then modify it to meet your requirements.

@susiegb
It is very easy to create a template from an existing webside layout. Only a few WB tags are required to display the content/menu etc. Have a look on the template guides available (table based layout (http://projects.WebsiteBaker.org/websitebaker2/wiki/Docs-EN-TemplateTutorial), or CSS based layout (http://projects.WebsiteBaker.org/websitebaker2/wiki/Docs-EN-TemplateTutorial2).

I created my own template and made WB work with it...
