Hi guys and gals..

i put together a quick template that i modded from tristar to host my WB friendly bet site. The general idea was get 1million hits in a year but we upped the anti to 10million in 5 years and im on line for winning a crate of beer from my pals :)

im a big fan of charity and have done many fundraising events in the past so i thought i'd seize the opportunity. I'm dontating $150,000(US) to charity after advertising sales. i know the adverts thing has been done before but i figured if i can get the traffic then why not donate to a good cause :) (plus i want my crate of beer from my pals :))

I saw the news on the guy who did this -great idea. Hope you make some money. :) Have to try to think of something similarly cleaver but unique -too bad I gave up drinking. ;)

yeah his name was alex tew, awesome idea and very well executed. neva had the intention of doing it but i figured, what the hell and built one on the back backbone of WB cos its great  :mrgreen:

You want to get 10 million hits? But you won't refund if you don't get the hits, right?

the original plan was a website to get 10million hits. it was due to a simple bet with friends for a crate of beer. I then figured if i can do that then why not attempt to sell advertising space (using the Alex Tew idea). From there i figured, if i can make some cash selling space then why not donate some of it to charity :)

so the original idea for the site still stands but now im trying to sell $1m of pixel space to gain some income and support charity.

Ah, wouldn't it help to have content if you want to get hits?  :wink:
Who is supposed to link to your site? Or do you hope for media coverage: "There's a guy who wants to get ten million hits to an empty page!!!!"

yes pretty much im going for the media coverage to sell the site aswell as advertising myself.. just undergoing VAT battles atm as im in the UK :( dam i hate tax laws
