Yes, I agree WB is one of the easiest systems to wotk with, both for designers/developers and clients. Recently I also work with Wordpress, for several reasons. Although Wordpress has its advantages, I cannot believe how clumsy, complex, unfriendly and bloated it is compared with WB. Why on earth did Wordpress gain so much popularity?

The thing is that WB has also too many disadvantages to really become the next Big Thing. WB is certainly not "the best CMS". I wish it was. But it is in my opinion the best CMS for small to mid-sized sites that don't need to much fancyness, interactivity, and complex features. For fairly "static" sites it simply rules.

But in general working with Wordpress can be a real nightmare compared with working with WB. And I won't even compare it to Joomla, which is even worse than Wordpress in many aspects

I read good things about ModX though. Haven't had the time yet to dive into that. But whenever I can use WB for a project, it's certainly my first choice!

Hey,

You take the words outta my mouth - but forgot 'unsafe' (unless you update WP every release)!
I build about 50 WP sites... 'cause the customer wanted'... but WP just gives headaches and got
hacked very easily, mostly cause of plugins ;)

Hype - hype - hype ;) and (and thats a pro) - a very large and (inter)active development community.

Cheerz,
