Title: Template Heavy Metal
Post by: Luckyluke on August 10, 2009, 08:09:33 PM
Hi,

My website www.kisstory.be is running for a while with a customized version of the template "round". In a few months I will fully customize the site with a new template.

So I made a new (hmm... new?) template that I would like to share with you. It is a template with 2 columns, 1 drop-down menu (up to 4 levels), 3 blocks (1 mainblock and 2 similar infoblocks). I named it Heavy Metal  :-D

Unfortunately, there is 1 problem. In IE6, the footer is displayed twice. I would like this issue to get resolved. I think it's a small CSS problem. But my CSS IQ is the same like the size of my shoes.

H1 to H6 were significantly changed.
I hope this template meets the WB template requirements.

The basis of the template is glassbery from Chio (www.WebsiteBaker.at).

Regards,
Luc

Hi Luc,

you should give the background in #footerbox a no-repeat ...

Hi Luc,

I had a look on www.kisstory.be, nice work!
But banner.png seems to be to big (592kb). I made some trys with two jpgs an got about 115 an 84kb. If you send me your mailadress, I will send them to you and you can have a look at them.

Best regards

Uwe

Hi,

The KISStory site is running for several years for screens of 800x600 pixels. Only last month I adjusted the template to 1024x786 pixels. I didn't look at the size of the banner. But I'll take a look to compress the banner.
Thanks!

Grtz,
Luc

Hi,

Yesterday I implemented the new metal-template in the KISStory site (http://www.kisstory.be).
The reason why it took so long is the snippet AnyNews who showed the news from all languages.
Since I'm a programmer, but not a php programmer, I modified this module. It shows only the news from the sections I want. But... when the module had finished I saw that there really was something in the forum (https://forum.WebsiteBaker.org/index.php/topic,409.msg95799.html#msg95799) by VotreEspace. Yet I'm proud that I've adapted this module.
I also use the droplet "Random Image" in the template. There was also a problem with that. If the parameter "Width" and "Height" is not used then the image will not be showed in IE. I have adapted these by erasing the parameters in the Droplet.

Also, the KISStory site have been updated to WB 2.8 without any problems.
Now I've got some more time to fine tune and redisign the site.

Grtz,
Luc

Hi,
I've added the template to the Template-Search (as Nr. 267)
When Search is on, there is a little rest from glassberry ;-)
