Title: FCKeditor
Post by: theMK on March 23, 2007, 03:27:18 PM
I just downloaded and installed WebsiteBaker 2.6.5, and I was surprised to see the FCKeditor module pre-loaded with FCKeditor 2.4 in it.

FCKeditor works great in Firefox, but I am having problems with it in IE6. The editor loads completely in IE6  but it fails to focus on the textarea. I cannot add any text.

Have anyone of you experienced the same problem, and is there a fix for this?

Thank you.

Only installation files provided via the official repository are sufficiently tested.
So download WB v2.6.5 from http://download.WebsiteBaker.org/websitebaker2/ and the latest FCKEditor module from http://addons.WebsiteBaker.org/pages/modules.php.

Modules or installation packages from the forum havenĀ“t made it up to a stable release status.

Thanks Christian.

I downloaded and installed WebsiteBaker-2.6.5.zip from http://download.WebsiteBaker.org/websitebaker2/ and fckeditor_v2.71.zip from http://addons.WebsiteBaker.org/pages/modules.php, then I went to settings/advanced options/WYSIWYG = FCKeditor --- Save.

I am still having the same problem, when I try to add or edit a page on IE6, fckeditor loads but it fails to set the focus in the textbox. I have to click on the "Select All" icon the get it to work.

Any other recommendations?

Thank you

Hello,

think this are more browser related settings or system settings. As the modul works here on IE6 without anny issues. What about javascript or cookies settings in IE? Did you use any other tool wich maybe blocks something?

Thanks for the reply Matthias,

I am probably doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is.

I installed WB2.6.5+fckeditor_v2.71.zip on my web server this time, and I used different systems with different configurations (IE6 and IE7)  and I am still having the same problem, fckeditor loads but it fails to set the focus in the textarea (on both IE6 and IE7).

I notice that when I right-click on a empty space inside of the textarea I get the "windows right-click menu", as opposed to "fckeditor's right-click menu (with the cut-copy-paste options)".

I appreciate the help.
