Template license issues
(1/1)
doc:
Hello,
some forum members informed us that some of the templates listed on the WebsiteBaker addons repository have been listed under a wrong license.
Most templates affected are ports from http://www.oswd.org, distributed under a Creative Commons license. As some of the affected templates require a attribution (e.g. backlink in the footer), we decided to remove all templates for internal reviewing.
We consecutively add the templates back to the addons repository once the license issues are sorted out. If you still find templates distributed with a wrong license, please notify us by posting in this thread.
Regards Christian
RocketTheme:
Your IMPULSE template clearly violated our RocketTheme license, and should be removed immediately.

snark:
I wonder, with a cms like website baker where it is so incredibly simple to implement it into any design... why don't ya all create something new...
BerndJM:
Hi,
at first: maybe I'm interpreting your statement in a wrong way - I'm not a natural english speaker.
The problem here discussed, is not the "why do you create things new" and also not "why don't you implement" ...
It's a thread about "fairness" - if someone adopt an existing layout to a WebsiteBaker template it's more then fair to keep the copyright notices of the original layout designer intact, and not to remove them or change the licence the layout was initially made.
Regards Bernd
