Love the WB
« on: July 17, 2007, 01:21:10 AM »
My life is busier than ever. I'm no PHP guy.. but still have found time to build some sites for friends and clients. Thanks to WebsiteBaker Community!

Here's some sites I built using the WB based on various templates!

This site is a never ending 'work in progress'.. it is based on the cool Ya2CT template and navigation by Christian Sommer!
http://www.menifeelive.com/wb/

My portfolio site based off the Light v2 template by Fienieg:
http://southwest-live.com/wb/

My buddies recording studio based off of LERONTEMPLATE by Francesco Zambotti:
http://rosestudiosfrisco.com/wb/

Recent client based off of the Box template by Ryan Djurovich:
http://www.thepondwhisperers.com/site/

thanks WB!!

Very nice.  I just wish I had more design skills to adapt WB templates the way you have.  I really like the last site, with its clear navigation and crisp graphical design throughout.

Two thumbs up!

Hi,

I'm messing around with a different type of layout that has a horizontal drop down nav:

http://menifeelive.com/main/

In ie 7 and firefox all seems ok, however my sister claimed she could not see the navigation at all in ie 6..

any ideas on why this would be? or should i provide some code?

any help would be appreciated ;)

Mate, take my advice and create a sub-navigation that appears on each sub page rather than spedn time worrying about getting the dropdowns to work properly in ie6. Pain in the arse... plus for best practice usability/accessibility you should follow that practice anyway.

Plus, for this site - http://menifeelive.com/main/ - think about those element headers a little. Too many conflicting colours. Review the colour scheme you're using for the overall design and the elements so that it fits together. At the moment the multiple colour thing is clashing. Make the overall design fit together a little better and you'll have a very nice site there.

Thanks for the advice deeve007. I will take it! - It's kickin my butt...

I agree with you as well on the colors, but that was the last thing on my mind trying to get the nav to play well with all browsers and versions.. what was I thinking ;)

oh well, back to the drawing board.
