Unfortunately only one man can do things there, the developer Dietmar.
Because News is a core module and no other can change or fix core modules. With the next update would all changes are gone.

We can all look at the code and should not depend on one man only. I do not expect people to run for me and dive into piles of code but since it is broken there might be a member that sees what is wrong...
