Sorry being a novice at this i think i have missed something! i did the upgrade and did not understand the instructions about [In order to set the image settings you have to open each item in the Bakery backend] where and how? i have now lost all of the shop front end and back end details, it looks like i have to re enter all again, unless is there another way any one could advise please (in simple terms).

Thanks for the help.

i did the upgrade
whats was the old version?
do you have a backup from the old version as sql-file? if yes, is it possible to send me that file via mail

and did not understand the instructions about [In order to set the image settings you have to open each item in the Bakery backend] where and how?

it means: go to the backend and there to the bakery shop. startpage is the backend-overview with the menu in the top and the article list
open every article, click there on the cancel-button and go to the next page - thats all
Never click on the SAVE-Button if you have no datas in this block!!
if its only a ID-Problem, its possible thats everything is lost after the click on the save-button

in the moment, where you open a article, the scripts reads the (old) pics and write the result into a new image database

BUT:
i'm sure, this is needed only, if you upgrade a older bakery version < 1.70
the vers. 1.70 use this new image database, so this step is not needed

i found a problem between vers 1.70 and 1.71. Vers 1.71 use position = 0 for the main image of a product, vers. 1.70 use position = 1.
if you have only one image/article, vers. 1.71 will not show the main image

i did'nt see a problem like your's before (all product datas are gone), but i know, that you are not alone with this
i can search for the problem, but i need more infos about the old system before you start the upgrade
